蘋果公司日前宣布正著手設計以及生產提供給醫療工作者使用的面罩，執行長 Tim Cook 週日發布在 twitter 的貼中，表示公司已能夠在每週生產出一百萬個單位。
「我們透過產品設計、工程、操作和包裝以及供應商的設計，最後再生產，結合整個公司所有的努力，運送完成的面罩給醫療工作者。」Tim Cook 說「我們上週第一個運送至的地點是在 Santa Clara Valley 的 Kaiser 醫院，並從醫生那得到非常正向的回饋。」
Tim Cook 表示，蘋果所設計的面罩組裝僅需 2 分鐘，並能每箱裝到高達一百個單位。在蘋果致力於援助醫療前線同袍的同時，政府也幫忙分送防疫工具至全美國最有迫切需求的地區。除此行動之外，蘋果也已捐贈 2,000 萬個 N95 口罩至各醫療機構。
